Melodie’s story:
During October 2003 I became very ill and almost died, due to
a burst appendix which was not diagnosed by my doctor for 9
days.
This
resulted in my hospitalisation with serious septicemia,
undergoing
two major operations, and being on life support for almost a
week. After leaving the hospital I realized that I
had been
given a second chance, and that God had saved me for a specific reason.
I became involved in a couple of projects for destitute women and
children, and eventually knew that this was my calling. I
shared
my vision and dream with my husband Albertus, my
children Christéne and Alicia, and my close friends Ronel and
Heidi.
During October 2007 my husband, of 26 years, Albertus, was ready to join me in my
calling and dream and he agreed to support
me, allowing me the
opportunity to fulfil my heart’s desire – to reach out
and help destitute people, especially women and children.
MICHELLE'S STORY FEATURED IN THE JUNE 2011 EDITION OF THE MAMAS & PAPAS MAGAZINE
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iSB6LTFRSsk
This is my story of Four Miracles.
Once upon a time, there was a pastor’s daughter who received four miracles from God.
She
sold her body for drugs. She was a heroin addict and became too sick
without it. She lost everything because of it. She was doomed in
darkness and looked like she had AIDS.
But God loved her. She was
His child. So He allowed her to fracture her foot and it became
infected. She suffered for 3 years with a painful foot and nearly lost
it. God miraculously healed her foot but left it scarred for life, a
constant reminder of Him giving her a physical instruction to stop. And
her not listening.

But God loved her. She was His child. So He
allowed her to fall pregnant. A beautiful baby girl began to grow
inside her. She was still unable to change. She continued to use
heroin and sell her body throughout her pregnancy. But God loved
her, and miraculously, Daniella was born, perfect in every way.
God
patiently loved this stubborn child of His. On the 20th of November
2009 He allowed her to be arrested for prostitution. She was sent to
Pollsmoor Prison in Cape Town. Awaiting trial, finally, she was brought
to her knees spiritually, emotionally and physically.
Shattered,
she laid on the dirty prison floor. Her broken body would not come to
rest. She vomited, shaked and craved for her master ‘heroin’ while
lying in her own body’s secretion . She was not allowed even one smoke.
Her broken mind would not give her any peace. She had no hope. She knew
it was over. But yet, she was not dying. She needed to die. She was
desperately alone. There was just not enough energy, to even be angry.
Just total brokenness. There was nothing to look forward d too, nobody
to support her. A big empty dark hole, filled with her own bodies
filth, pain and brokenness. No daddy, no baby, no husband,
nothing. No back-up and no hope.
Then she saw a dim light
flickering in the distance. She realised how valuable freedom is, what
life really is about and that only God could save her!
She remembered she had a name!!
My name is Michelle!
God loved me, all this time.
I am His child!
After
being released from prison, I was serious about fixing my life. I came
to live with my daughter and learn how to be a good mother. But, I
needed to work and make a home for the two of us. Then God gave me my
fourth miracle: THE CRADLE OF HOPE, a home for destitute women and
their children. At this HOUSE OF RESTORATION I was given and taught the
tools I needed to be a functional, happy person. The Professional
Personal Life coach at THE CRADLE OF HOPE, Justine Visser, empowered me
in finding purpose in my life. I found a good job and was given
many opportunities to grow. Now I deal with life on life’s terms. I am
healing, a little bit more, every day.
God delivered me from a
life of misery and tragedy. God carried me through all my wrong
choices. God unravelled my twisted life so that I can do what I was
born to do: Help other lost souls! Now, every day is a miracle!!
I
share my story of hope and motivation with people, and you can contact
me or Justine Visser at The Cradle of Hope, during office hours
on 011-660-4623.
